The Middlesex

Built in 1971, sits atop the
Cambridge Superior Court House.
There are over 400 pre-trial
detainees being housed in this
facility originally designed for

Originally constructed in 1929
to house a total of 300 inmates.
In recent years the population
has swelled to nearly 1200
inmates.
The Middlesex Sheriff's
