Mountain Bike Unit | Middlesex Sheriff

Consistent with our Mission Statement, the Middlesex Sheriff’s Office is committed to public safety and to the improvement of the quality of life in the community. To that end, the Sheriff has established a Mountain Bike Unit (MBU) within the Middlesex Sheriff’s Office Public Safety Division. The capabilities of this unit include patrol of the grounds of the Middlesex Jail & House of Correction, community patrol and event security. Community patrolling is accomplished through mutual aid supporting the agency having primary jurisdiction in that community. When on patrol, the unit renders aid to citizens and enforces applicable laws. The unit also supports community activities including education and youth programs.
