Lowell bank robbery suspect arrested in New Hampshire

On Wednesday, November 15, investigators located and apprehended a suspect in connection with two Merrimack Valley area bank robberies.

David Rivera, 37, of Lowell was arrested after members of the Middlesex Sheriff’s Office Warrant Apprehension Unit (WAU), Massachusetts State Police Violent Fugitive Apprehension Section (VFAS), and Lowell Police Department developed information that Rivera was in Salem, New Hampshire.  Rivera was taken into custody by the joint apprehension team with the assistance of the Salem, NH Police Department. Rivera was subsequently transported to the Salem Police Department for booking and is currently being held as a fugitive from justice pending extradition proceedings.

Rivera was wanted in connection with bank robberies that occurred on November 13 in Lowell and on November 14 in Lawrence.
