Per Diem (Part Time) Licensed Practical Nurse and Registered Nurse

The Middlesex Sheriff’s Office is seeking qualified Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN’s) and Registered Nurses (RN’s) to provide part time per diem work in a correctional setting.

The Middlesex Sheriff’s Office provides 24-hour care to inmates and detainees at multiple facilities located in Middlesex County.  Applicants must be able to work at different locations and on different shifts when needed on an on-call basis.

Duties to include but not limited to the following:  Dispenses medication as directed; makes appropriate entries into infirmary log; confers with other shifts regarding patients and other infirmary activities; accounts for medication, supplies and equipment located in work area; assists physicians with all in-house clinical duties; performs emergency services as necessary.

Requirements include current RN or LPN licensure, an active valid driver’s license, good communication skills, the ability to pass a criminal background check.  Associate’s degree and two (2) years of RN or LPN experience is preferred.  Salary is commensurate with experience.
