 Fifteenth Annual N.H. D.A.R.E. 5K Classic

WEEK NINE

(LOUDON, N.H.) --The Middlesex Sheriff’s Office stole the show last night at the 15h Annual New Hampshire State Police D.A.R.E. Classic 5K Road Race at the New Hampshire International Speedway in Loudon, NH. The event, sponsored by the New Hampshire State Police, featured law enforcement officers and civilians from all across New England running to raise money for the D.A.R.E. program. This 5K course was two laps around the racetrack, with a grueling incline on the back turn.

The team from the Middlesex Sheriff’s Office, comprised of Deputy Sheriffs, Correctional Officers and new recruits, won first place in the Law Enforcement Team category.

“I’m extremely proud of all our runners. They put out a great effort for a great cause,” said Sheriff James V. DiPaola. “But the real winners here are the children who benefit from the D.A.R.E. program. I’m happy to stand beside the dedicated officers at the New Hampshire State Police and work for the betterment of all New England communities.”

The 32nd Training Academy class ran the race in formation, finishing together at 28 minutes and 45 seconds, the first time a training class has finished under 30 minutes.
